Micromax Canvas Xpress price in India is about 6,999 INR and it was launched in December, 2014. This is a budget smartphone. It has IPS LCD display screen of 4.5 inches with FWVGA resolution. The viewing angles are also good. It has good colors, but sometimes you can observe some pixilation due to low resolution. The device comes with a metallic finish, giving it a premium look, which is difficult to find in this price range.

Micromax Canvas Xpress processor is MT6582 SoC quad core with a support speed of 1.3 GHz. Micromax has embedded its HotKnot feature in its Micromax Canvas Xpress mobile. This feature can be enabled from the settings menu. With the help of it, one can quickly and easily transfer the contents of the device from one smartphone to the other.

Micromax Canvas Xpress camera performs well in both the light conditions (full and low light). The back camera of this amazing device is of 5 MP. For selfie, it has a 0.3 MP VGA camera only that can be used for basic video calling. It has an LED flash also to support the camera. The camera supports all the modern day camera features like Panorama, Beauty face, normal mode etc. It can take videos in full HD (1080P).

The internal memory is 1 GB, which is against my expectations of 2 GB. The internal memory is of 8 GB, out of which only 5.85 GB is available to the end user. The internal memory is expandable up to 32 GB. There is a dedicated microSD card slot to do that.

Micromax Canvas Xpress battery is small and is of 1950 mAh. This battery supports a standby time of 240 hours and a talk time of 7 hours. If not impressive, it is not that bad also. The device depends on stock Android 4.4 Kitkat for all of its operations. This handset of the Micromax comes preloaded with a lot of Aps. While one can play a lot of games on this device, but the gaming experience may not be the best.

It also has a Smart wake feature, which opens or closes the lock with the help of screen gestures. There are no connectivity issues found with this device. It supports 3G network only.  Its closest competitors are Huawei honor Holy and Xiaomi Redmi 1S.
